Eligibility Requirements

Teams of three to five runners will compete in one of three divisions with 13 catergories for the first, second and third place award positions. Each team's score will be based on the three lowest individual finishing times. The team with the lowest finishing score wins.

Any corporation, agency, organization, or formally organized business may enter one or more teams in the Corporate Team Challenge. If more than one team is entered, separate declaration forms must be submitted for each team. Also, family, friends, clubs or any other organizations are welcome to participate in the Open Team Challenge. College runners and groups are encouraged to participate in the NEW Collegiate Challenge.

The Corporate Team Challenge division includes the following categories:
Business/Industry (below 99 employees)
Business/Industry (100-999 employees)
Business/Industry (1000+ employees)
Education/Government/Non-Profit

The Open Team Challenge division includes the following categories:
Men's Team
Women's Team
Men's Master Team (all runners over the age of 40)
Women's Master Team (all runners over the age of 40)
Co-ed Team

The Collegiate Challenge division includes the following categories:
Fraternity
Sorority
Student Organization
Open Collegiate

Registration Information

All team members MUST be individually registered as runners in The Great Race 10K Run.

A $25.00 team-processing fee must be submitted with each declaration form. Make checks payable to: The Great Race. No cash will be accepted. Each team member must be registered as an individual participant and listed on the Team Declaration Form. Team Members should submit their Great Race Entry form as early as possible. Note: it is advantageous to include each team member's individual Entry Form with the Team Declaration Form along with payment for team and individual registration.

Each team member's name must appear on the Team Declaration Form exactly as it appears on the individual's Great Race Entry Form.

For example: if Joe Doe registers as Joseph Doe, Jr. on his individual Great Race Entry Form, then Joseph Doe, Jr. should appear on the Team Declaration Form.

Please complete each team member's address and age on the Team Declaration Form as it appears on the individual's Great Race Entry Form.

Awards

Division Winners
The overall winner of the Corporate Team Challenge will be recognized on the Championship Cup and the overall winner of the Open Team Challenge will be mailed the Open Team Challenge Award. The overall winner of the Collegiate Challenge will be recognized on the Collegiate Championship Cup.

Category Winners
Plaques and individual awards for first, second and third place teams in each category will be mailed to all winners.

Timing and Results

If your team has at least three registered finishers, results post cards with team information will be mailed to each finisher. The post cards will list the individual's finish time, team finish time, team place overall and team place within division. This will be the only team results mailing you will receive. If your team does not have at least three registered finishers, your team will not be officially placed and team members will not receive results postcards.
