Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield's mission to help people live longer, healthier lives is a commitment to the entire community. It's more than a matter of paying hospital and doctor bills; it's a matter of supporting positive ways to be healthy.

Physical activity is an important part of a healthy lifestyle, and active children grow into healthy active adults.

This summer, Highmark again partners with Citiparks for a healthy activity - "On Your Mark with Highmark Youth Challenge" - to encourage children to lace up their running shoes and take part in community footraces... by either running or walking the 5K distance.

Each child age 6 to 12* who completes one community footrace - or each youth age 13 to 18* who completes two community footraces - receive free registration to The Great Race courtesy of Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield.
