PITTSBURGH (September 22, 2026) — P3R and the City of Pittsburgh has announced road closures for the 2026 Richard S. Caliguiri City of Pittsburgh Great Race and Dollar Bank Junior Great Race, scheduled for September 26-27. More than 10,000 participants are expected to take part in events including the Diaper Dash, Tot Trot, Family Fun Run, 5K, and 10K.
Saturday, Sept. 26
Downtown road closures for the Dollar Bank Junior Great Race 1-Mile Family Fun Run, held on Saturday, Sept. 26, will begin Downtown at 9 a.m. and remain closed until 11:30 a.m. A course map of the Junior Great Race is available

Sunday, Sept. 27
Race morning road closures on Sunday, Sept. 27 will begin Downtown near Stanwix Street at 5:30 a.m. Roads along the course will close at 6:30 a.m. and remain closed until 11:00 a.m. Streets in the Downtown, Uptown, Oakland, and Squirrel Hill neighborhoods will be impacted. “No Parking” signs will be posted in advance on all streets affected by race closures. Residents and visitors in the affected zones are advised to park vehicles outside the closure areas posted no parking. Vehicles parked in these areas during the restricted times may be removed for participant safety. A course map of the 5K/10K is available

MEDIA CREDENTIALS: Media accreditation is required for access to key areas of the Junior Great Race and the Great Race, including the start and finish lines. To request credentials, email Kelsey Emch at kelsey.emch@P3R.org by Friday, September 25.
Media credentials can be picked up on race day at Volunteer Check-in located near the entrance of Point State Park.
